As 2022 slowly fades into history, MNTC speeds towards 2023 in high gear! With freshmen phenom Josh Moore leading the way, MNTC piled up 12 PRs, 6 All-Time Top Ten performances, and a new MNTC record at the Armory Youth Holiday Classic on December 28th. In the 13-14 Division of the 55 Meter Dash, an explosive start catapulted Josh to a new MNTC record of 7.03, breaking Caleb “Twodens” Park’s ten-day old record of 7.10! For his effort Josh earned the Gold Medal in his age group. Later in the meet, Josh won his heat of the 200 Meter Dash with a time of 25.77, his second PR on the day. On the Girls’ side, Coco Sagoo-Jones, aka 2COs, moved to No. 3 All-Time on MNTC’s 55 Meter Dash list with a mark of 8.24 and ascended to No. 4 on the 200 Meter list with a PR of 29.62. Another freshman showing promise was Julia “Jay Jay” Jackowska. In her first ever track meet, Jay Jay stopped the clock at 2:49.62 in the 800 and jumped straight onto the Top Ten list, landing at No. 6! Our plucky squad will return to action on January 8th in the Youth Freedom Games at the Ocean Breeze complex on the windswept shore of eastern Staten Island. Below is a list of the six performances that achieved MNTC Top Ten All-Time status. Those lists can be viewed at the INDOOR RECORDS section of this site. Happy New Year!
