Freshman Madeleine “Mad Fast” Yao chalked up a PR (Personal Record) last weekend, covering the 200 Meter Dash in 28.94 seconds for the Bryn Mawr Owls. It was the second weekend in a row that Mad Fast delivered a PR. Running the 400 in her college debut at The Armory on 12/3, she stopped the clock at 66.19 seconds, shaving 1.6 seconds off her previous best. Meanwhile, Lily “Lily Pad” Falkowski, a sophomore competing for Vassar College, zipped to a PR of 8.74 seconds in the 60 Meter Dash. Her effort came during Vassar’s first ever indoor track meet! Lily’s twin sister Caitlin, aka “Specs,” a sophomore at Macalester College in Minnesota, reports that she is currently injured but, at the suggestion of her coach, will take up the Pole Vault (!?!?) in January. She also runs the 100 and 200. It’s nice to see MNTC alums thriving on the college track scene! (Caitlin on L, Lily on R in photo)
